About A Light Code Tattoo Ceremony
A light code tattoo ceremony is a fusion of channeling, energetic healing, and tattooing — a practice rooted in the understanding that the body is sacred, and that what we place on our skin can carry real meaning, intention, and power.
What To Expect
This isn’t traditional tattooing. Each ceremony is a unique spiritual experience where I work as a channel, receiving symbols and codes that are specific to your soul’s path in this moment. The designs aren’t pre-drawn — they emerge live, in the ceremony itself, so what you receive is genuinely attuned to where you are and where you’re heading.
The Experience
Every ceremony begins with grounded, intentional conversation. I hold space for you to share what you’re moving through — what’s shifting, what called you here. Through intuitive reflection, I offer back what I’m perceiving in your energy and your story, creating a space of recognition before we move into the work.
Together we set clear intentions. I then open the Akashic Records to receive guidance meant specifically for you in this moment. You receive Reiki and light language healing to settle your nervous system and prepare your body to receive the codes.
The design comes through channeling — symbols that carry frequency and meaning beyond what the thinking mind can plan or predict. Once we’ve confirmed the design together, it’s permanently tattooed onto your skin, becoming an ongoing anchor for healing, remembrance, and transformation.
Why This Work
I believe our bodies hold memory, wisdom, and the capacity to carry higher frequencies in physical form. Tattooing has been used ceremonially across cultures for thousands of years — to mark transitions, honor spiritual connection, and carry protection and power.
A light code ceremony honors that lineage while bringing through what’s specifically needed for these times, and for your individual path. What you receive is one-of-a-kind spiritual art, energetic healing, and a permanent reminder of your commitment to your own growth.
Who This Is For
This work is for those who feel called to celebrate and mark shifts, transitions, anchor spiritual insights into their body, or carry visible reminders of their inner truth. It’s for anyone who understands that what we place on our bodies carries energy and meaning — and who wants that to be intentional.
Understanding our ceremonial tattoo pricing
A light code ceremony is priced differently from a standard tattoo appointment because it’s a fundamentally different experience — one that goes well beyond the technical application of ink.
What makes it different
A standard tattoo session focuses on applying a pre-designed image. A ceremony creates space for personal transformation, spiritual guidance, and the live channeling of symbols meant specifically for your journey. It’s a multi-layered experience that combines several practices into one cohesive session.
What’s Included in Your Investment:
Your session begins with intentional conversation — a safe space for you to share what you’re moving through and what brought you here. I offer intuitive reflection of what I’m perceiving in your energy and your story.
We set intentions together. I open the Akashic Records to receive guidance and messages that are uniquely yours in this moment. You receive Reiki and light language healing to prepare your body and nervous system. The ceremony also includes a spiritual initiation aligned with where you are in your path.
The design itself is channeled live — codes and symbols that come through specifically for you, confirmed together before being permanently tattooed onto your skin.
The Value You Receive
You’re working with a practitioner who is functioning as a channel, energy worker, and tattoo artist at the same time. This requires years of dedicated spiritual training, energetic development, and the ability to hold sacred space while doing precise technical work.
What you receive is energetically aligned with your path, carries specific intention, and continues to work as a portal for growth long after the session ends. You’re not choosing from existing designs — you’re receiving something that has never existed before, brought through specifically for you.
That’s why the investment reflects more than a tattoo: it includes personal spiritual guidance, energetic healing, initiation, and a channeled design — a complete ceremonial experience that honors what it means to permanently mark your body.
Transformational journey

What called you to receive a light code tattoo ceremony at that point in your life?
It came very suddenly. I was at a place in life that called for change, a form of development. With that feeling of emerging development, I felt in a way without footing. A time of change, where I didn’t know where I was heading, but I knew that my way of being present at the time no longer served me. On the contrary, it drained me. I lacked footing, lacked connection to fundamental values, felt disconnected from myself. This lack of grounding, lack of connection to myself, is what called to me.
What stood out most for you during the ceremony itself?
I immediately felt that I was safe and seen. However, I had a bit of difficulty putting it into words. But Makaya had no difficulty sensing what was on my heart, even though it was hard to describe. This openness toward another person’s energy was fantastic to experience. There were many tears from me during the ceremony, strong emotions, and Makaya made it clear that all those feelings just needed to have space. The energy, the safety, and the openness is what particularly stood out. A room, a space, a moment, where everything was welcome, and even invited into the light. It was a fantastic experience to be able to surrender to the process, and just feel that everything was carried out with tenderness and presence.
What has shifted for you since the ceremony?
In the beginning, I felt an inner shift. However, nothing came to expression until a bit later. I began to be able to feel myself more and more. See myself more - the sour with the sweet. Started to be able to forgive myself, slowly began to heal some wounds that I could now see better, and could better take care of and tend to. See where I wasn’t in alignment with my values, and slowly began to feel changes and meaning in these areas. It came in bursts, not as a creeping feeling, and it was definitely not a linear development - there were ups and downs, mistakes and victories, and forgiveness for myself.
How do you relate to your light code tattoo now - what does it anchor or represent for you?
The tattoo on my spine is a constant reminder of my own grounding. And a reminder that I come first, for myself. It represents in a way my spiritual and emotional spine - how strongly I stand, and how important it is that I continue to choose myself. A return to home, when you sometimes venture too far. A subtle return to my values when I feel a little lost or when I’m questioning things in my life. A reminder and feeling of alignment.
If you were to describe this to a person considering a ceremony, what would you want them to know?
Personally for me, I would say it feels very intense, but also in a way like coming home after having been out on a journey without a destination for a very long time. Surrender to the experience, and trust, because it is an intimate space. The intimacy can be a bit intimidating at first, you have to get used to it, especially if you’re not used to it. You sit in front of a person and open up in a way you might not be used to. It’s a bit scary. But Makaya manages to make the space safe, the intimacy safe. So as I said, surrender to the ceremony, because you are in such safe hands.
FAQ
What if I don’t like the channeled design?
This is the most common concern, and understandably so. Here’s what I’ve learned: when someone is truly ready for this work, what comes through resonates deeply, even if it surprises them. Before tattooing, I share what I’ve channeled and we discuss it together. You see the design on your skin, feel into it, and we only proceed when you feel a clear yes. Through all of ceremonies, I’ve never had someone reject what came through for them. The codes know what you need, often better than the conscious mind does. That said, you always have full agency, nothing goes on your body without your enthusiastic consent.
How much does it hurt?
Pain levels vary greatly depending on body placement, your personal pain tolerance, and nervous system state. The Reiki and light language healing beforehand helps significantly for some people. Most clients report feeling more relaxed and present than in traditional tattoo sessions. The ceremonial container itself seems to shift how pain is experienced for some. Some have even described it as meditative or even pleasurable. I work intuitively with pacing and offer breaks as needed. For larger pieces, the work is split across multiple sessions.
Can I bring someone with me?
Generally, ceremonies are held 1:1 to maintain the integrity of the sacred container and allow you to be fully present without distraction or performance. However, if you have a specific person who is integral to your process (a partner, close friend, or support person) and you feel their presence would enhance rather than dilute your experience, we can discuss it. They would need to hold respectful, silent space and understand they’re witnessing something out of the ordinary.
What size are the tattoos typically?
This varies by ceremony tier and what comes through. The pre-channeled or one personal light code typically yields smaller, simpler pieces (roughly 5-6 cm). Full light code ceremonies often produce medium pieces (palm-sized to larger single placements). You can enquire about larger areas over multiple sessions: full forearms, back pieces, thigh or multiple placements. The codes determine their own size and complexity; I channel what wants to come through, and we discuss placement and scale together.
Do I need tattoo experience?
No previous tattoo experience is required. Many of my clients receive their first tattoo through ceremony, which can actually be beautiful, your body’s first permanent mark is something sacred and intentional. If you are new to tattoos, I’ll guide you through what to expect physically and help you choose appropriate placement and sizing for a first piece. What matters more than tattoo experience is your readiness to receive, your openness to the process, and your commitment to honoring what comes through.
How long does each ceremony take?
A pre-channeled code and a reading is around 2 hours.
Signature light code tattoo ceremony: 4-5 hours
Expanded light code tattoo ceremony - The retreat 6 plus hours
Return Journey: 2.5-3 hours - but that depends.
Plan to have spaciousness in your day, rushing before or after diminishes the ceremonial container.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
Life happens, and sometimes the timing shifts. Please provide at least 5 workdays notice if you need to reschedule, and we’ll find a new date together. Cancellations with less than 5 work days notice or no-shows result in forfeiture of your pre-payment, as that time has been held sacred for you and cannot be filled on short notice.
Can I choose where the tattoo goes on my body?
Yes. While the design itself is channeled, placement is your choice or a collaboration. Sometimes specific placement will come through intuitively as part of the channeling (the codes “want” to be in a particular location), and sometimes you’ll have full choice. We discuss this together and ensure you feel completely aligned with both the design and its location.
Do you offer touch-ups?
Yes. If needed due to healing variations, minor touch-ups within the first 3 months are complimentary. After that, touch-ups are offered at a reduced rate for ceremony clients.

How I came to this work
I’ve been a creative channel for most of my life, though I didn’t always have language for what was moving through me.
It started with writing as a child, then evolved into dance, music, playing, writing songs, allowing something beyond my conscious mind to flow through sound. Creativity has always been my first language, my way of translating the unseen into form.
The Convergence
Later in my 30’s when I began learning to tattoo, I was simultaneously training in Reiki. At the time I lived in Norway and during the apprenticeship I also established a healing practice there (after leaving behind a sommelier career), two seemingly separate paths that were preparing to merge. I studied the Akashic Records, began offering channeled readings, and continued expressing through multiple mediums: painting, music, wine. Before leaving Norway, I was invited by a beloved friend to hold an exhibition in New York City, where I paired my paintings with selected wines, and snacks made by her, an early experiment in creating multi-sensory ceremonial experiences.
When I returned to Denmark, I deepened my understanding of the human psyche by studying psychotherapy while continuing my spiritual training. I completed extended coursework at the College of Psychic Studies in spiritual, psychic, and intuitive development, helping me make sense of the sensitivity and 6th sense I’d always had so that I could feel more empowered rather than being overwhelmed by too many energetic inputs.
The Activation
Light language arrived what seemed to be out of the blue.
After a period of six months or so of intense experiences with no sleep, but lots of spiritual energy coming in, downloads, and activations in lack of a better word, something shifted. I was walking by the water one day when I began seeing codes, symbols appearing in the sky. A powerful energy moved through my crown chakra, settling first in my throat, then descending to my heart space where it remained for days. It felt like a big heart opening.
I went home. The next day, walking again but now in the woods, the same energy returned. I was guided clearly:
Go home. Grab pen and paper.
I sat down, and my hand began moving, writing codes, symbols, languages I’d never studied but somehow remembered. They poured through me. Two weeks later, spoken light language activated. The sounds came through naturally, on my way home.
The Integration
I didn’t initially plan to tattoo these codes. I simply started sharing what was coming through. But people responded and they felt something, recognized something. They asked if I could tattoo the codes onto their bodies.
As I began this work, I was guided session by session to weave together everything I’d trained in: the channeling, the Akashic Records, the Reiki healing, the therapeutic presence, the artistic skill, the understanding of sacred space. What emerged was not longer separate modalities placed side by side, but it was a unified ceremonial container.
Now I channel codes regularly, speak light language in sessions and for my own practice, continue offering therapy and Akashic teachings, and hold space for others to receive what wants to come through specifically for them.
This work found me by bringing together every thread of my path, the creative, the healing, the channeled, the embodied, into one coherent expression. Light code tattoo ceremony is the integration of everything I’ve been trained to hold, offered in service to those ready to receive.
